Leonard Curtis named National Business Recovery Specialist of the Year

Mar 29 2010
Leonard Curtis, the national top ten independent corporate recovery, insolvency and restructuring specialist, has been named Business Recovery Specialist of the Year at a national awards ceremony.

The firm beat rival shortlisted practices Begbies Traynor, RSM Tenon, Bridge, Vantis and MCR to the coveted title at the 2010 Business Moneyfacts Awards.

The awards were presented at a dinner at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square hosted by journalist and BBC presenter Bill Turnbull.

The judging panel said: "By providing companies with positive strategic advice, Leonard Curtis has enabled many of them to retain control of their business. The Corporate Strategies team continues to focus on the critical issues, providing clear recommendations together with restructuring and refinancing services to both growing and underperforming businesses."

Neil Bennett, a director at Leonard Curtis, said: "We were up against very strong competition and this award recognises the success we have achieved over the past few years.

"We pride ourselves on the service we give to our clients and the personal touch we use in dealing with businesses in difficulties, combining professional expertise with collaborative ways of working."

Leonard Curtis is a national independent practice with 14 directors and more than 100 staff based at offices in Manchester, Bury, Blackburn, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and London.

The firm provides directors of struggling businesses with positive strategic advice, enabling them to retain control of their business, as well as creditors and professionals involved with those dealing with debt and financial problems.

LC Corporate Strategies has particular expertise in restructuring VAT and/or PAYE/National Insurance arrears for UK companies facing difficulties with HM Revenue and Customs.
