Leading North West Mortgage Broker Signs up to Eurodebt Introducer Scheme

Feb 27 2008
Chesterton Grant, a leading independent mortgage broker based in Chester, has signed up to the EuroDebt Introducer Scheme, providing its advisors with access to expert debt management services. As David Kennedy, Director at Chesterton Grant explained, the EuroDebt debt management programme provides an important alternative for clients who are in severe financial difficulties.

“We need to be able to help clients who are in financial difficulties with a realistic alternative to an IVA or bankruptcy. These clients are rarely in a position to be able to remortgage but they don’t want to lose their home. So the inclusion of debt management as part of our advisors’ proposition should be invaluable. More than 40 of our advisors have already undergone an induction programme to understand the benefits of the EuroDebt service and debt management as a whole.”

Under the new agreement EuroDebt will be offering its Debt Management Plan through Chesterton Grant’s advisors and Chesterton Grant is supporting EuroDebt’s educational workshops to the broker community in February and March, with David Kennedy sitting on the expert panel at the Chester event on 28th February.

EuroDebt focuses on finding the right debt solution for an individual through a highly personalised service, including an initial face-to-face meeting. This involves working closely with individuals to create a proactive long-term plan to deal with their unsecured debts. This can involve working with the broker to optimise expenditure to release a realistic amount of disposable income to repay creditors.

Kevin Still, Director, EuroDebt Financial Services concludes, “We are excited about working with Chesterton Grant because the organisation immediately saw the benefits of collaborating in the current market conditions and we are already implementing a number of joint initiatives for the benefit of advisors and their clients impacted by escalating debt problems.”
